Annual Adams Invitational Tournament Info 2008 Welcome to the Annual Rochester Adams Invitational. We are very excited to be hosting this event and are working very hard to make your experience here the best it can possibly be. We have a full slate of teams and the day should be exciting as well as rewarding. Please look over the following information to assist you in preparing for this weekend of competition. When: Saturday, January 12, 2008 - Wrestling Starts: @ 9:00 AM, Coaches' meeting @ 8:30 AM Where: Rochester Adams High School (see Map) Who:
Competition: Wrestlers will compete in two five-man pools. Each man will wrestle four matches and have one 'bye'. At the conclusion of these round-robin matches, we will cross pools and have a Finals match. Wrestling will take place on four mats, all in the main gym.

State recognition (place, qualifier) by THURSDAY, JANUARY 10th for
seeding purposes. Seeding Criteria:
1st: State placer, 2nd: State Qualifier, 3rd:
Regional qualifier, 4th: current season record.
Please
list your outstanding JV wrestlers on your line-up (include pertinent
info). If there is a void, we might be able to place them in a bracket.
We will call you if your JVs can make the trip. BE SURE TO PROVIDE A
NUMBER WHERE YOU CAN BE REACHED! Date
& time: This tournament will be held on January 12th and
wrestling will begin at 9:00 AM. We ask that you plan on arriving between 8:15
and 8:30. We will have coaches meeting at 8:30 AM to exchange line-ups and cover
any last minute details. Weigh-in:
We will be using the home weigh-in procedure (weigh-in should take place
beginning at 4:30 p.m. on 1/11/05). Make sure you bring your official weigh-in
sheets with 10 additional copies for your competitors. A copy of your alpha
weigh-in sheet is also required. Locker
Rooms: Like
all other sites around the state, the care of the locker room area is left up to
the coaches and their teams. Wrestlers will have to bring their own locks and
towels. We ask that you remind your teams that keeping your area clean is
important. Please No Food or Drink in the locker rooms. Thank you in advance for
your consideration in helping us to keep this facility in a condition we are all
proud of. Awards:
A championship trophy will be awarded as well as individual medals for the top
three places. Food:
A concession stand will be open from 8:30 AM to the end of the tournament with a
wide variety of healthy products. Teams that bring their own food must leave
food in the commons where tables will be set up. No food will be allowed in the
gym or in the locker rooms. Your assistance in helping us in this will be
greatly appreciated. National
Anthem: One
of the choral students will sing the anthem at 9:00 AM before the first round of
matches only. Please have your team line up on your side of the mat at this
time. Table
help: We ask
that you provide three people for table help for this tournament. Your table
workers will be assigned a mat and time so that nobody has to work all day long.
