Competition: Wrestlers will compete in two five-man pools. Each man will wrestle four matches and have one 'bye'. At the conclusion of these round-robin matches, we will cross pools and have a Finals match.  Wrestling will take place on four mats, all in the main gym.

Line-up: Please FAX (248-726-5395) us your tentative lineup including each wrestler's current record and any past State recognition (place, qualifier) by THURSDAY, JANUARY 10th for seeding purposes.  Seeding Criteria:   1st: State placer, 2nd: State Qualifier, 3rd: Regional qualifier, 4th: current season record. . (Remember, the tournament is a “pool” - seed is not that important.)

Please list your outstanding JV wrestlers on your line-up (include pertinent info).  If there is a void, we might be able to place them in a bracket.  We will call you if your JVs can make the trip. BE SURE TO PROVIDE A NUMBER WHERE YOU CAN BE REACHED!

Date & time: This tournament will be held on January 12th and wrestling will begin at 9:00 AM. We ask that you plan on arriving between 8:15 and 8:30. We will have coaches meeting at 8:30 AM to exchange line-ups and cover any last minute details.

Weigh-in: We will be using the home weigh-in procedure (weigh-in should take place beginning at 4:30 p.m. on 1/11/05). Make sure you bring your official weigh-in sheets with 10 additional copies for your competitors. A copy of your alpha weigh-in sheet is also required.

Locker Rooms: Like all other sites around the state, the care of the locker room area is left up to the coaches and their teams. Wrestlers will have to bring their own locks and towels. We ask that you remind your teams that keeping your area clean is important. Please No Food or Drink in the locker rooms. Thank you in advance for your consideration in helping us to keep this facility in a condition we are all proud of.

Awards: A championship trophy will be awarded as well as individual medals for the top three places.

Food: A concession stand will be open from 8:30 AM to the end of the tournament with a wide variety of healthy products. Teams that bring their own food must leave food in the commons where tables will be set up. No food will be allowed in the gym or in the locker rooms. Your assistance in helping us in this will be greatly appreciated.

National Anthem: One of the choral students will sing the anthem at 9:00 AM before the first round of matches only. Please have your team line up on your side of the mat at this time.

Table help: We ask that you provide three people for table help for this tournament. Your table workers will be assigned a mat and time so that nobody has to work all day long.
