Rochester Area Youth Wrestling Camp

Each summer, Coach Beall & Coach Kramer (former Head Coach at Rochester High School), offer a one-week wrestling camp for boys ages 2^nd - 8^th grade. The camp averages about 50 wrestlers each year. This is a great opportunity for those boys who may be interested in learning the basics of wrestling, are just interested in trying out the sport for the first time as well as picking up some advanced techniques.

For previous campers, the technique taught is rotated each summer for a new experience

Activities

2 daily wrestling technique sessions
Daily physical fitness session
Team & Individual Tournaments
Two swimming pool times in the week
Competitive fun games
Outdoor track

Wrestlers are put on 12-15 member "teams" with their own coach for the week

Staff

Coaches from both the Adams and Rochester High School staffs (paid and volunteer)
Several high school & college wrestlers as counselors.

The goal is to keep a high ratio of instructors to campers.

Tournaments

A camp-wide dual meet tournament will occur on Thursday afternoon.
A camp-wide individual advancement tournament on Friday
A takedown tournament on Friday

All participants get a camp T-shirt.

Cost is around $130.

The camp usually runs the first week of August and is held in the Rochester Adams Auxiliary Gymnasium.
